Shape caterpillars

 
Aby had so much fun making shape caterpillars. The idea was from shape snakes from Cathy Ross Crafts Triangles, Rectangles, Circles, and Squares. After making them Aby said they’re caterpillars, not snakes so that is that.

I cut the shapes but Aby poked the holes (using a toothpick, poking through on the carpet), and threaded them onto the pipe cleaners. I spaced them out and Aby helped gluing the eyes on.

We later added antennae and a smile (Aby said it had to have one) to the circle caterpillar.

Little Clouds

I love arts and crafts and so Aby does, too. I’m often looking for ideas of what we could make. 

 We read the book Little Cloud by Eric Carle and decided to make some little clouds. I cut out a couple of cloud shapes. Aby made hers and I made mine. I helped her with the glue a little bit but other than that it was all her. She had so much fun sticking cotton balls all over both sides of her little cloud.

After they dried I punched a hole in the tops and hung them with string. I’d like to make some more things to hang with them but for now they are both hanging from a hanger. Aby loves her little cloud. ☁️💕
